I have read some of the stuff at this so called forum and I was not even going to bother to leave a response but changed my mind.

I read a lot of real bad junk in my job but this stuff here is just so beyond bad I can not even think of a term that fit's.

You people seem to be all about finding fault with other people who speak there minds, like you are all that and have the right to stop them, you ever hear of free speech, it's something we all are guaranteed in this country all be it getting harder and harder these days to exercise that right.

You people could use a course in social educate, especially this site admin Socrates guy, he makes real jerks look good, get over yourselves and lighten up people.

I think so-called has a hyphen. you need a comma after forum. you read stuff at your job, not in it. cannot is one word.

Seems that everyone is using the Holocaust as a tool to benefit whatever cause; whichever side they're on.

Yeah, there are valid questions about the holocaust. I mean maybe six-million got killed. Maybe it was only 2 million. Does it make the holocaust any less evil if less people were killed? Does it make the holocaust any less evil whether the prisoners were murdered via zyclon-b, medical tests, bullets, starvation, or epidemics allowed to spread throughout the camps? Is evil measured by numbers?

If someone wants to study the specifics, and see where/if it was exaggerated, then let them. Maybe I sound a little like Rivero, but the fact that people who ask questions - whether for valid historical research or their own veiled anti-Sentism - end up imprisoned in Europe is sick.

Back in school, I took an entire 5-credit course on the Holocaust. The focus of the class - at least from the prof's viewpoint - was not on the numbers, atrocities in the camps, gas chambers - but that the holocaust was mainly about one thing - MONEY. It was also used for political purposes, for scientific research from companies like Bayer. but at it's heart was making money.

The prisoners who were capable of working were tools. What is the most energy-output we can get from one human being, while paying the least to maintain him? And economists, corporate elite, and scientists worked together to find the "perfect" balance of just how little sleep, little food a person needs to provide the most efficient working life, with the (by design?) end result that he dies from exhaustion/starvation/illness - to be disposed of in the cheapest possible manner.

So is questioning specifics about the holocaust the same as holocaust denial? I don't think so. It's just tiring that everyone uses the holocaust as a tool to reach their own end. The nazis did, the Israelis do, the anti-Semites do. It's gets tiresome. Just as tiresome as people using 911 as a tool.

The German people knew about it; The American gov't knew about it long before Pearl Harbor - just like we now know about Gitmo and rendition and the use of torture and the loss of habeaus corpus - but we let one slide by then, and we let another slide by now.

So the Holocaust wasn't really about hating or the desire to kill blacks, jews, homosexuals, the retarded. It was about slavery. It about a huge gov't /corporation plan to use human slave labor for profit. The shocking part was the quiet complacence of the German people - far moreso than the atrocities committed. Did the gas chambers really exist? Are the stories of mass-graves at Treblinka real? Who knows? Others might be interested. I'm not.

I think I understand where my prof was coming from. I wish people would focus MORESO on how the German Gov't worked so closely with Corporations - at the cost of human dignity and human lives. How fascism and police brutality fit in so nicely with the whole system.

It's so close to what's happening today.

Lots of major companies profitted from German slave labor. They made money. Some of them are still around - I'm not sure which, if any, acknowledged their participation, apologized and paid reparations. It would be interesting to see if any of these companies still around are currently selling their services to the US Gov't's war machine. I'd bet some are.

I had an Uncle that helped liberate Dachau. He wouldn't talk to me about it until I was a grown man. There were more than a hundred of these camps of all sizes, all of them legally operating under the laws of the Reich.
I agree that the prime motive was not the racial pecking order of the Nazis, it was simply state sponsored slavery, murder and theft. The racism was the cover for what was organized looting.
